AppClose Pricing in 2026
AppClose is $7.99 a month on the web or $8.99 in the app, with prepaid plans from $5.99 a month and a 60-day free trial. Checked 2 November 2026.
Parents usually look for an OurFamilyWizard alternative because of the cost of two subscriptions, or because they want fewer tiers. Here are three alternatives, how each is priced, and the one question to answer before you switch.
OurFamilyWizard alternatives at a glance (prices checked 2 November 2026)
If a court order, parenting plan or mediated agreement names OurFamilyWizard, or another specific app, you cannot swap it on your own. Ask your lawyer or mediator, and get the other parent's agreement in writing. If the order only says "a co-parenting app", or says nothing about one, you will usually have more freedom to choose, but ask your lawyer or mediator if you are unsure.
One plan with every feature, including unlimited calling with recording, a shared calendar with schedule templates, an AI writing assistant, and exports of every record. $7.99 a month on the web or $8.99 in the app; prepaid web plans bring it down to $5.99 a month. US users can generate certified electronic business records. The pricing page does not say whether a co-parent needs their own subscription. AppClose pricing in detail.
Secure messaging, a shared calendar, an info library and a journal on every tier, from $7 a month; calling minutes, storage, payment fees and the Sentiment Scanner step up with the price. It ended its free plan on March 30, 2026. TalkingParents pricing in detail.
The app this site belongs to, so weigh our view accordingly. One subscription at USD 8.99 a month covers both parents, the children and every other adult you invite, each with a free account. It has schedule templates for alternating weeks, 2-2-3, 2-2-5-5 and every other weekend; changes to an active schedule are requests the other parent has to accept; every message passes through the TalkSafe filter, which suggests a rewrite or blocks the worst wording; calls made in the app are recorded, stored and logged; the Finance Assistant splits the children's costs; and chat logs and change requests export as a verifiable PDF. There is a one-week trial with every feature unlocked. Pricing and FAQ.
What to check first: OurFamilyWizard and AppClose describe notarized or vendor-certified records on their pricing pages, while Co-parenting's FAQ describes verifiable PDF exports. If your court or lawyer needs a certified record or an affidavit from the company, email hello@co-parenting.app before relying on it.
A shared calendar and a messaging app cost nothing, and for parents who communicate well they can be enough. What they do not do is give you schedule templates, a way to propose a change the other parent has to accept, protection against someone editing the schedule on their own, or a message history that cannot be edited or deleted afterwards. Whether that matters depends on how much conflict there is.

It depends on what you need. AppClose has one plan with every feature, TalkingParents starts at $7 a month with limited calling and storage, and Co-parenting charges once per family. The first question is whether your court order names a specific app.
Not for the full product. TalkingParents ended its free plan on March 30, 2026, and the others charge after a trial. Fee waivers exist for parents in financial need.
On headline prices, yes: AppClose is $7.99 to $8.99 a month against OurFamilyWizard's $110 to $299.88 a year per parent, and Co-parenting is USD 8.99 a month for the whole family. The features are not identical, so compare them against what you use.
Not on your own. Ask your lawyer or mediator and get your co-parent's agreement in writing first.
No. Export your records from the old app before you cancel and keep the files.
