The company says every plan has access to all features on the app and the web, with no limits or extra payments, and that you can cancel at any time. The monthly plan has no annual lock-in.

What is included in the one plan

Because there are no tiers, features that are paid extras elsewhere are listed as included. According to the pricing page:

  • Unlimited audio and video calling, with recording and transcription when both participants consent.
  • Exportable, time-stamped records of every chat, request, expense and check-in, which can be exported as a PDF. US users can also generate certified electronic business records, and AppClose certifies records with a business records affidavit, at no charge, in response to a proper subpoena.
  • Co-Parent Assist, an AI tool that reviews draft messages and offers optional suggestions to soften wording.
  • A shared calendar with custody schedule templates, requests and schedule swaps, expense tracking and reimbursement requests, and unlimited file storage.
  • Circles for parents with more than one co-parenting relationship, and a solo mode for use before the other parent joins.
  • Third-party access for attorneys, mediators and other trusted people, with permission-controlled visibility.

Some features are limited by country: the page says the ipayou payment system and Certified Business Records are available only in the United States.

Fee waiver and military discount

AppClose runs a fee waiver for parents experiencing financial hardship and for survivors of domestic violence, and says it has given over 26,450 free accounts since January 1, 2026. There is also a military discount application. Apply through AppClose.

How AppClose compares on cost

At $7.99 to $8.99 a month AppClose sits close to Co-parenting's USD 8.99 a month, with two differences: Co-parenting's one subscription covers both parents, the children and everyone else you invite, and AppClose's pricing page does not say whether a co-parent needs a subscription of their own. Check how that applies to your situation before assuming. The full comparison is in co-parenting app pricing compared.

When AppClose makes sense

It makes sense when you want one price with every feature, including call recording and certified records for US courts, and the prepaid web plans have the lowest monthly price listed among the four apps compared here. If a court order names AppClose, that settles it. If you want a family-wide subscription, see OurFamilyWizard alternatives or our pricing.
