United States Addendum

Additional terms that apply if you use the Co-parenting app in the United States. Last updated 27 August 2026.

1. When this applies

This addendum applies if you live in the United States. It adds to our Terms of Use, and where the two disagree, this addendum controls for you.

Everything in the Terms of Use that is not changed here still applies.

2. Resolving disputes

Tell us first. Before bringing a claim, you agree to send us a written notice describing the problem, what you want, and the email address on your account, signed by you personally. Send it to hello@co-parenting.app. We will do the same before bringing a claim against you. Both of us then have 30 days to try to settle it.

Most problems are resolved this way. If yours is not, clause 3 sets out the law that applies and where a claim is heard.

3. Governing law and where claims are heard

For users in the United States, these terms and any dispute between us are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Any claim will be brought exclusively in the courts of Stockholm, Sweden, and you and we each consent to that jurisdiction.

4. The service is provided as it is

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", and we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that any defect will be corrected, or that the service will meet your requirements.

Some states do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this clause may not apply to you.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither Happy Parents AB nor anyone working for it will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the service — whether the claim is brought in contract, tort, strict liability or otherwise, and whether or not we were told such damages were possible.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred United States dollars.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so parts of this clause may not apply to you.

6. What you take responsibility for

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Happy Parents AB and its officers, employees and agents from any claim, demand, loss or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of the service, anything you post or share in it, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or of anyone else's rights.

7. Children

The service is not available in the United States to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We hold a year of birth for every child added to a group, so we know a child's age when a parent adds them, and we use the information available to us about where a group is. Where those indicate a child under 13 in the United States, the account is not created.

No check of this kind is perfect. If we learn that we hold personal information from a child under 13 in the United States, we delete it. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email hello@co-parenting.app and we will remove it.

Children aged 13 and over may have their own accounts. A child's account is created by a parent, who chooses what the child can see and is responsible for their use of the service. A parent may review the information we hold about their child and ask us to delete it, and a child may make the same request about their own information.

8. Your state privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect about you and why, to obtain a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and to appeal a refusal. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

We do not sell your personal information. If the business is sold, merged or reorganised, personal information may transfer to the buyer as part of that transaction, and we will tell you before it happens. To exercise any right, or to ask us to stop sharing your information for cross-context behavioural advertising, email hello@co-parenting.app. You may use an authorised agent, and we may ask you to verify your identity first.
