Max$299.88 a year ($24.99 a month)$551.76 every two years ($22.99 a month)Everything in Premium, plus call recordings and call transcriptions

OurFamilyWizard's own pricing page marks Essentials as the most popular plan. The monthly figures are what the company shows for each plan; the amount you pay is the annual or two-year total.

What each tier adds

  • The entry plan is the lowest-priced way in, with receive-only calls and 1 GB of storage.
  • Essentials is where most of the day-to-day features arrive: 45 minutes of documented calls a month, the Writing Assistant for rewording tense messages, change requests for schedules, shared expenses, first-viewed timestamps on messages, check-ins and unlimited PDF records.
  • Premium removes the call limit and adds event import and unlimited certified records, the notarized, printed and mailed kind.
  • Max adds the ability to record calls and keep transcriptions.

What two parents pay

Because each parent needs their own subscription, the cost for the pair is double the figures above, unless one parent pays for the other. On one-year plans that is $220 on the entry plan, $299.98 on Essentials, $432 on Premium and $599.76 on Max (our sums from the listed prices). The two-year plans lower the monthly rate and raise the amount you commit to up front.

For comparison, Co-parenting costs $107.88 for twelve months at USD 8.99 a month for the whole family, and AppClose and TalkingParents are priced per account. See co-parenting app pricing compared.

  • Military family discount. Subscriptions at a reduced rate for military families.
  • 30-day refund. A full refund within the first 30 days of your plan, though the company notes refund policies vary by platform.
  • Free accounts for children, extended family and caretakers, with limited access, and free access for your legal or mental health professionals, who can view account activity and download records.

When OurFamilyWizard is worth the price

OurFamilyWizard says it has been trusted by millions for over twenty years, it has dedicated pages for courts and practitioners, and it lists services that the other apps here do not, such as notarized records mailed to you. If your court order or settlement names it, or your lawyer or mediator works in it, the price is the price. If you do not need those things, it is worth comparing: read OurFamilyWizard alternatives.
