Read the Co-parenting Report on Shared Custody in Sweden

The Co-parenting Report takes a close look at the children, parents, and families living the “varannan vecka” (every-other-week) life in Sweden — parents who no longer live together but share responsibility for children living in two homes.

Two copies of the report cover Varannan vecka-rapporten, with a drawn man, child and woman, on a yellow background

Why the Report Is Unique

The report was created by us at Happy Parents AB, the company behind the Co-parenting app. It is unique because it shines a light on all the children and families who live under two or more roofs.

Inside, you'll find background on how the every-other-week arrangement became so common, and on how life in two homes looks in different parts of Sweden and in families from different socioeconomic backgrounds. It's time this family structure was recognized and given a seat at the table alongside the traditional nuclear family.
